Xpeng G6, model 2025

Read about some of the details regarding the new Xpeng G6 introduced on Friday, February 28, 2025 in China. The car is already ready at Chinese dealers for the launch. We have collected some images and information for the curious.

The new 2025 model of the Xpeng G6 will be officially launched in China on January 28, 2025. The updated version of the electric SUV introduces several improvements over previous models. Our colleagues in China have gathered some advance information for the curious.

Design and dimensions

Dimensions:

  • Length: 4,758 mm

  • Width: 1,920 mm

  • Height: 1,650 mm

  • Wheelbase: 2,890 mm

The new model is 5 mm longer than its predecessor, while the other dimensions remain unchanged.

Drivetrain and performance:

  • Rear-wheel drive (RWD): 210 kW (280 hp) with 440 Nm of torque.

  • All-wheel drive (AWD): 350 kW (470 hp) with 660 Nm of torque.

  • The AWD model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.9 seconds.

Battery and range:

  • Standard Range (RWD): 66 kWh battery with a range of up to 435 km (WLTP).

  • Long Range (RWD): 87.5 kWh battery with a range of up to 570 km (WLTP).

  • Performance (AWD): 87.5 kWh battery with a range of up to 550 km (WLTP).

Charging:

  • AC charging: Up to 11 kW.

  • DC fast charging: Supports up to 280 kW, enabling charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.

Improvements in the 2025 model:

  • Replacement of 34% of the primary structural parts

  • Upgrading 81 user experiences, primarily via software

  • Small tail on the rear bumper, as seen from Tesla

  • Front logo moved to bonnet

  • New lights with animated light strip, partly known from the Xpeng G9

  • New cameras based on AI technology

  • Possible removal of LiDAR sensors in the design.

General changes:

  • Massage both front seats

  • Silver button at door opening button, buy here for 2024 models

  • Generally upgraded with silver on the steering wheel arms etc.

  • General change of interior materials

  • Cabin lights upgraded (Umates will get products for 2024 models so they can be upgraded with the same functionality)

  • Interior lighting has been added to side doors and generally with animation

  • Screen behind the steering wheel pulled closer to the steering wheel

  • Larger makeup mirrors

  • AI technology with blue light on the outside (known from BYD, among others)

  • 20 inch wheels and new rim design

  • Changing interior ventilation ducts

At first glance, these are cosmetic changes - Renewals, which should NOT deter you from ordering the existing model Xpeng G6. We do not expect the new model to be available until after August/September 2025. Contact Xpeng in your local country for more information about price and delivery time.
